1955年にドイツで創設され、ノルトライン・ヴェストファーレン・デザインセンター（Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen）が主催している国際的に権威のあるデザイン賞です。「プロダクトデザイン」「ブランド＆コミュニケーションデザイン」「デザインコンセプト」の3部門で構成され、毎年世界でも有数の企業が革新的な作品を出品し、国際的に活躍するデザインの専門家が審査します。
